The Icelandic Nurses Association
We all need care
It’s not often you get to step into a world this closely. In this campaign for The Icelandic Nurses Association, we followed nurses in their own environments, where everything is real and unfiltered.
The film reflects life as it is experienced by nurses themselves, in hospitals, primary care, schools, in people’s homes, and beyond. The voices of Icelandic nurses guide the narrative, highlighting the importance of the profession and the urgent need for more people to choose this path.

About the project
The campaign is told in a documentary style, capturing real moments from the everyday work of nurses. Instead of staging or dramatising, the focus is on authenticity—observing the profession as it unfolds across different environments. This approach allows the viewer to step into the world of nursing, guided by those who live it, creating a sense of closeness and trust while reinforcing the reality and importance of the work.

The goal was to broaden the understanding of what nursing is and to highlight the diversity within the profession. Too often, the idea of a nurse is tied to a single stereotype, when in reality the role reaches into almost every part of society.
The campaign also aimed to support the future of the profession by encouraging more people to see nursing as a meaningful and viable career path.

The campaign is built around a simple and clear statement: We all need care. It acts as a unifying thread, connecting different people, situations, and stories.
This idea is expressed visually through a circular motif, where the tagline forms a continuous loop. The circle acts both as a frame and a symbol, drawing focus to the individuals within each scene while reinforcing the idea of continuity, connection, and the cycle of care.
Across different environments and moments, the circle remains constant, tying together diverse stories under one shared truth.

I led the ideation from the outset, shaping the concept and guiding the creative direction in collaboration with the Creative Director. The brief was to attract more people into nursing, highlight the diversity of the profession, and challenge existing perceptions.
I developed the core concept and carried it through into production, working closely with the director and photographer to ensure the idea translated clearly into the final visuals.
I was also involved in shaping the final outputs and supporting materials, ensuring a cohesive and consistent result across the campaign.
